Transferring Photography on Reclaimed Wood


My name is Vincent Darmohusodo, a local photographer based in Encinitas, CA. As a child growing up in Indonesia, I was always close with the ocean and nature. I now live in Encinitas, CA and my passion with both the ocean and nature continues through surfing and photography. I wish to share some of my favorite photos I have taken the last several years between my hometown of Encinitas and my travel back to my root in Indonesia and a few places in between.

I want to share my photography in a different and unique way. I use old wood that was once going to waste and give them a new life by turning them into art. These old wood become my canvas where I transfer my photography work onto them. Instead of printing, each piece I make is handmade. I literally transfer the ink from paper to wood surface. The process gives such a unique and rustic look that no printer can do. Each one carries its own "fingerprints", making every piece original. It's not just photography. It is photography art.
